Quick update on my first model stitching gig!

As some of you may know, I recently stitched my first ever model piece.  What's even more exciting was that it was a design by one of my FAVORITE designers, Kathy Barrick!

Well, she will be releasing her new charts (seven of them!!) in a week or so.  The model I stitched was for "Crowned Heart" and you can see several sneak peeks of her upcoming releases at this link:

The sampler I stitched has snippets at number 5, 6, and 11 in the row of pics posted on the above blog.

+++ Kathy recently posted a pic of the entire model!  You can check out "Crowned Heart" at this link to her blog:  http://kathybarrick.blogspot.com/2013/02/a-sneak-peek.html

I'm super excited to have something I've stitched used as Kathy's model -- but I'm even more excited about her other releases which I haven't seen or stitched yet! :-)  Her sister will also be releasing Spring at Hawk Run Hollow in March.  Can't wait!

  5. I saw the peeks of the model you stitched for Kathy. So pretty! I'd love to stitch for Kathy some day. I was fascinated by your story about your friend and the Van Derveer Sampler. So cool! It must be wonderful to be able to trace one's family history back to a wonderful sampler. I have no such luck with my ancestry.

  6. Hi Kevin,
You left a comment my blog, Corgi Cottage, but you are on no-reply and I couldn't respond via e-mail. I'm not any good at any 'planned' rotation schedule. I will work on a piece until I tire of it and then will move onto something else. It's the only way I've found that keeps me motivated to return to my stitching nest every day. You'll figure out what works best for you.
